Biofilms are a major challenge across many different sectors: food, water, clinical and the built environment. As a result, researchers have been developing products to mitigate the issue by preventing, killing or removing biofilms. For these products to reach the market, regulatory approval is required and data needs to be supplied to support product claims. This data needs to be generated by following specific methods required by the regulatory bodies.
The Biofilm Regulatory Toolbox COST Action invites researchers, regulators, industry representatives, public health experts and other stakeholders to take part in the online webinar “From Novel Technology to Industrial Adoption – Symcel’s biofilm journey ”
The webinar will provide an overview of Symcel and the journey they have been on over the last few years, in developing their technology in response to the needs from industry. The discussion will have a strong focus on the transition into working with industry customers: how much validation, regulatory guidelines, and established standards control decision-making.
